Classroom Expectations

For me,  I have three expectations that I teach my Kindergarten students to not only have in our classroom but to demonstrate throughout the school:

1. Be Respectful
2. Be Responsible
3. Be Safe

If all of these expectations are shown, they are worthy of being a Bertha Barber Kindergarten Bobcat!

My daughter just finished Kindergarten in Papillion and they had the same basic classroom rules and expectations. She was crystal clear on what each one of those words meant for each part of her school day (classroom, lunchroom, hallway, recess). Her school even had a all school cheer to reinforce these expectations. It sounds like Bertha Barber is a great place to be! Go Bobcats!!

At Leonard Lawrence this past year, we used the same 3 expectations. This was a school-wide expectation and was nice to have consistency K-6. I think it is a great idea for kindergarteners to learn these, starting the first day of school, not to mention it is so cute to hear them reflect on being respectful and responsible.
